【 漂流之森 Drifting Forest 】

穿越海洋而來的流木，歷經長時間的漂流、沖刷與風化，承載著自然留下的痕跡與記憶。乾裂、侵蝕、斷裂、彎曲——這些看似偶然形成的形態，實則蘊含著一種難以複製、近乎必然的美。
藝術家在與流木相遇的瞬間，時常從木材本身的輪廓與質地之中，看見動物的身影悄然浮現。創作始於這樣的直覺與感知——不是強行塑造，而是順著流木內在所蘊含的形象與氣息，進行回應式的雕刻。
在這些作品中，人為的介入被刻意降至最低。流木作為一種無法完全被掌控的材料，使創作始終存在限制與阻力；然而也正是在這樣的限制之中，誕生了空隙、留白與不完美。藝術家選擇尊重這些無法被消除的痕跡，並將其視為生命感的來源——如同自然本身，始終處於生成、消逝與轉化之間。
Driftwood that has crossed the ocean carries with it the traces and memories left by nature, shaped through long periods of drifting, washing, and weathering. Cracks, erosion, fractures, and bends—these forms, which may appear accidental, in fact embody a beauty that is nearly inevitable and impossible to replicate.
In the moment the artist encounters a piece of driftwood, the silhouette and texture of the material often reveal the quiet emergence of an animal form within. Creation begins from this intuition and perception—not by forcing form upon the wood, but by responding through carving to the image and presence already contained within it.
In these works, human intervention is intentionally kept to a minimum. Driftwood, as a material that cannot be fully controlled, introduces limitations and resistance into the process; yet it is precisely within these constraints that gaps, negative space, and imperfections are born. The artist chooses to respect these irreducible traces and regards them as the source of vitality—like nature itself, always existing in a state of becoming, fading, and transformation.
